Synthetic anticorrosive primer formulated with zinc phosphates providing a good rust inhibiting power with good flexibility and adhesion to the substrate.

SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION SYSTEM

Bare Steel
. If sandblasting cannot be carried out use a mechanical wirebrush or abrasive disk to prepare the surface. The surface to be coated should be clean, dry and degreased; any trace of rust and calamine should be removed. Remove all residuals and dust off the surface. Clean the surface with a cloth soaked with Thinner 107 or Thinner 900. Apply 1 coat of EVIOX GRIGIO “R” followed if necessary by a second coat after 24 hours. Overcoat with suitable one-component topcoat.


Previously Coated Steel
. if the old paints are not any longer in good conditions because loose or powdery, remove the old paint film mechanically. Remove any trace of rust by mechanical wirebrushing or abrasive disk, sandpaper with medium abrasive paper (280-320) and let dry well. Clean the surface with a cloth soaked with THINNER 107 or THINNER 900. Apply 1 coat of EVIOX GRIGIO”R” followed if necessary by a second coat after 24 hours. Overcoat with suitable one-component topcoat.
