General purpose yacht varnish based on glycerophtalic resin. Used where a good performance, general purpose varnish economically priced is required. Easy to apply provides a flexible film with good characteristics of brushability and good outdoor resistance. Applied on wooden boats, windows, doors, chairs, etc.

SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Bare Wood. The surface should be clean and dry, sandpapered and dusted off. Apply a first coat of LIGNUM IMPREGNANTE onto bare wood in order to allow the varnish to sink into the wood substrate and let dry for 3-4 days. Apply one coat of BEKOL LUCIDA diluted up to 50% and let dry. Apply further 2 coats of BEKOL LUCIDA allowing the required waiting time between coats.

Previously Varnished Wood.
- If the old paint is in poor conditions, loose or powdery, it should be mechanically removed. Clean the surface well and sandpaper with medium grane abrasive paper (230-320); degrease with suitable cleaner and let dry. Touch up bare parts with BEKOL LUCIDA diluted up to 50%. Apply further 2 coats of BEKOL LUCIDA allowing the required waiting time between coats.
- If the old paint is in good condition of adhesion and it only needs a topcoat because it is dull or dirty but with the underneath coatings still well fixed to the substrate (with no cracks or bubbles), sandpaper and apply 2 coats of BEKOL LUCIDA allowing the required waiting time between coats.
