Self-polishing antifouling formulated with copper thyocianate for all types of boat bottoms, including aluminium and light alloys. Its soluble matrix formulation provides a continuos film releasing of the antifouling compounds during boat cruising. It does not need to be sanded at time of repainting. A minimum of 3 coats is recommended for best results. The antifouling release varies according to speed and service of the boat. Recommended on boat of medium speed up to 30 knots.
SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Bare Steel. Apply 1 coat of EPOZINC 2C or EPOFOND AM-9 on sandblasted steel according to SA 2,5/3 and let dry for 12-24 hours. (If sandblasting is not possible proceed with mechanical cleaning to bring the surface to bare steel, apply 1 coat of CROMOMINIO-AT and let dry for 8-12 hours.) Apply then 3 coats of SOLVER PRIMER allowing 24 hours between coats. Overcoat with 3 coats of SERENISSIMA STC white antifouling allowing min.12 hours between coats.
Bare Wood. Apply one coat of EVIOX CROMOMINIO and allow to dry for 8-12 hours. Apply 2 coats of SOLVER PRIMER allowing 24 hours between coats followed by 23 coats of SERENISSIMA STC white antifouling allowing min. 12 hours between coats.
Bare Fibreglass. Degrease with suitable cleaner and water and rinse the surface to be coated. Sand with fine abrasive paper and remove dust. Apply 1 coat of POLIFIBER PRIMER and after 24 hours sand with fine abrasive paper. Apply then 3 coats of SERENISSIMA STC white antifouling allowing min 12 hours between coats.
Bare Aluminium and Light Alloys. Degrease the substrate with Thinner 765. Apply a first coat of EPOFOND AM-9 and let dry for a minimum of 8 hours but do not exceed 24 hours. Apply 3 coats of SOLVER PRIMER allowing 24 hours between coats. Apply then 3 coats of SERENISSIMA STC white antifouling allowing min 12 hours between coats.
Previously Coated Surfaces. If the old antifouling is still in sound conditions, compatible, and well sticked on the substrate, sandpaper slightly and apply 2-3 coats of SERENISSIMA STC. If the old antifouling is unknown it is recommended to check its compatibility with SERENISSIMA STC through a small patch test; in case tiny bubbles, wrinkles or cissing are experienced it is then requested the application of one coat of SOLVER PRIMER intermediate undercoat in order to insulate the old antifouling from the new one. Apply then 2-3 coats of SERENISSIMA STC white antifouling allowing 8-12 hours between coats. (It is however recommended that after 3-4 years of repainting process the whole antifouling coats be removed).

After the application of the last coat the maximum launching period of the antifouling is one month;
with top quality copper oxide based products and with the agreement with our technical staff, the
launching time may extend up to 3 months, providing that the hull is protected from moisture, rain or
atmospheric agents with plastic or similar material.
The values indicated in the present technical sheet can have slight variations from one batch to another.
The applied product must not come in contact with water, chemicals or subjected to mechanical stress
before the curing is complete. The wet film thickness is referring to the undiluted product. In case of
dilution, this value increases. The above information is the result of accurate laboratory tests and practical
experience, however, since the product is predominantly used outside the manufacturer's control, can only guarantee their quality. The colour of the antifouling paint after diving may be slightly different.
Small tinting differences may occur between different production batches: in case mix them before the application.
